NEWSLETTERS

The Caughley Society publishes four newsletters a year, sent free to members. Typically 28 pages long in A5 format and full colour, they contain articles written by members and other experts on all matters relating to Caughley.

To mark the bicentenary of Thomas Turner's death in 1809, the August 2009 edition was largely devoted to new research about him. Other recent newsletters have contained articles about spittoons; the Travellers, Marrow and L'Amitie patterns; tea canisters; medicine spoons; butter boats; vases; stapling (the early repair of broken pots); letters from members; and details of recent auctions. To see a full index for all newsletters published, please click on the 'Newsletter Index' button on the left of this page.

The newsletters are a valuable resource for information and reference, and are increasingly quoted as authoritative sources of information on Caughley porcelain.
